    About this atelier

Cloisonné enamel is the art of applying a glass glaze to metal, such as silver and copper, by firing the piece. Kyo cloisonne, one of Kyoto's traditional crafts, flourished throughout the Azuchi-Momoyama period (circa 1573-1603), when culture flourished, as decorative objects for imperial residences, shrines, and temples. At Hiromi Art's cloisonne experience, you can create beautifully colored accessories using a silver plate for the base and baking transparent glaze.

    Guide Recommendations

The staff are welcoming, and some products are quite affordable. I purchased a Kyoto porcelain vase at a lower price compared to several other shops along the street.
