Kyo karakami in mainly used for fusuma(sliding doors) and wallpaper. "To know" "To experience" "To enjoy" You get a chance to experience the charm of Kyo Karakami. We have hands-on workshops where you get to use authentic woodblocks and touch real Kyo Karakami. At the gift shop, wooden stamps using the Japanese traditional motifs, various interior items , and stationeries are available. Also, there are two studios where artisans produce the Kyo karakami. By gathering everything in one place you can experience all aspects of Kyo Karakami all at once. By opening up traditional techniques that have been difficult to see from the outside, we hope to bring the craftsmanship and texture of Kyō-Karakami closer to everyone.
